Abstract

Muhammadiyah University of North Maluku (UMMU) is one of the colleges in Kopertis XII which oversees Maluku and North Maluku, and in 2014 received the title of healthiest college in Kopertis XII. Public interest from year to year to get into UMMU always increasing and quite high. Muhammadiyah University of North Maluku have 16 Studies Program and Department of Post Graduate 1. Selection of majors for incoming freshmen an obstacle and an impact on the success of the study.

To provide more advice in the selection of courses for prospective students on decision support system based prospective student input in the form of a passing grade, the value of psychological tests and interviews. Then the next step is to calculate using SAW method, in which the input of academic value, the value used as a psychological test and interview and selection criteria for the majors as an alternative, where each attribute would be given due weight in accordance with the direction you take.

The system will generate suggestions whether the courses that have been appropriate or not for prospective students by ability. So that this system can be used as a suggestion to choose the right course.
