The excessive exploitation of mangrove forests by humans has damaged their habitat and ecosystem. Mangrove forests in Gurua Marasai lake have the same problem. Mangrove forest is a coastal natural ecosystem that must be protected. Therefore, efforts to protect and maintain mangrove forests must be carried out. In the activities of protecting and maintaining mangrove forests, certain parties cannot do it. Programs and activities for the maintenance and protection of mangrove forests must involve all stakeholders concerned with the natural environment. The government, community and private sector must be protected in programs and activities to protect mangrove forests. This report focuses on the problem of damage to mangrove forests in Guru Marasai lake, and how to build community awareness to be actively involved in protecting and protecting the mangrove forests that are located in Guru Marasai lake. Greening activities of Gurua Marasi lake mangrove forest involving communities in Guraping village was very successful. The community responds positively and actively engages in each activity process, from preparation to implementation.
